If you Don’t Understand Politics in America, don’t Write about the Candidates

I have great respect for “The Guardian” and its reporting. However, once in a while one of their reporters writes about something they know nothing about.

I just read an article about Elizabeth Warren which is so full of misinformation, I was embarrassed for the author.

Let’s begin with some history. Trump was a Democrat for most of his life. He made a statement in ‘People’ magazine in 1998.

“If I were to run, I’d run as a Republican. They’re the dumbest group of voters in the country. They love anything on Fox News. I could lie and they’s still eat it up. I bet my numbers would be terrific.” Donald John Trump

However, the opportunist moved to the Republican Party in 2012; one of many changes in his party affiliation. Was this at the instruction of Vladimir Putin? In 2013 he took the Miss Universe Pageant to Moscow for the second time. This was the subject of the Christopher Steele Dossier which has never been proven false.

Nathan Robinson, in an article for The Guardian, criticizes Elizabeth Warren for switching parties, and for her time as a professor at Harvard where she associated with corporate elites. His assumption is that the Senator from Massachusetts is not a true progressive.

It was she that President Obama appointed to the Consumer Protection Bureau whose sole purpose was to control Wall Street Bankers. Since that time, she has been a constant critic of the corporate elites who were responsible for the great recession of 2008, although none of them have been indicted for their crimes.

Senator Warren’s platform is as progressive as Bernie Sanders’. I, and millions of other liberals, would rally behind her if she won the Democratic Party’s nomination. I believe she would crush Trump; winning by 10-15 points.
