Trump’s “I’m Rubber and You’re Glue” Defense is Becoming Tiresome

Never before in our nation’s history has a single president been embroiled in controversy from his first day in office. Never before has a sitting president been under investigation for his entire term. Thousands of writers, like myself, have pointed to multiple Constitutional violations which have been ignored by his cult, the television media, and his cowardly and hypocritical party. Although only two charges of impeachment have been filed officially, there could have been dozens.

According to White House aides Trump has thrown one enormous tantrum for days. The angry man in the Oval Office has become even more mentally unstable.

On Wednesday members of the House from both sides of the aisle were allowed to make statements for and against impeachment. While Democrats quoted the Constitution and the reasons why this dark day came to be, Republicans were embarrassing in their failed attempts to lie and defend Trump.

The final vote was along party lines. Not a single Republican had the courage to do the right thing for their country and support the Constitution. Remember this on November 3, 2020. All right-wing politicians have chosen to become the enemies of the American people. They serve their fuhrer and special interests; not you and me.

Trump’s only “defense” has been to continue the use of a single tactic. He attacks his detractors with the same charges which have been levied against him. I call it the “I’m rubber and you’re glue” defense. It’s tired and is no longer effective.

Trump never should have been given the presidency by the Electoral College. Trump is a malignant narcissist who is only concerned with himself. He is not a leader and does not represent all Americans. DJT is not an American president.

“Merry Impeachmas” everyone. Election day is less than 11 months away.
