Every criminal should have a fair trial. Sadly, Trump will not receive justice when he is tried in the Senate. Moscow Mitch McConnell has already stated that Trump will be acquitted and not removed from office.
It doesn’t surprise me that Moscow Mitch has not read article two of the Constitution; it’s not written in Russian. However, if he had, he would know that the reasons and conditions for impeaching a sitting president are clear and fully defined. If he respected and obeyed the Constitution, he would know that a fair and impartial trial is a must, and if not, he is violating the Law of the Land.
The first Republican senator to stand up to the unconstitutional actions of Moscow Mitch is Lisa Murkowski from Alaska.
Murkowski said McConnell had “confused the process” by saying he was acting in “total coordination” with the White House on setting the parameters for the trial.
“And in fairness, when I heard that, I was disturbed,” Murkowski told KTUU, a CNN affiliate.
The truth is that the reasons for beginning the impeachment process for three prior presidents were far less serious. The two charges levied against Trump include endangering national security and obstructing congress. There could have been several more, including lying to congress, and obstruction of justice.
Finally, I beg the good people of Kentucky to vote against Moscow Mitch next November. He has done nothing for your state and nothing for America. He is our nation’s greatest traitor.
