Once again, for those of you who have not read the truth, Republicans could not exist; could not ever win an election if they told the truth. Donald Trump is the perfect leader for this group of failures and prevaricators.
In three long years, Trump has told an estimated 50,000 lies. If his lips or his thumbs are moving, he is lying. His biggest lie is obvious; he is guilty of Constitutional violations and deserves impeachment. He definitely “did something wrong.”
After he was impeached, Trump, together with Mike Pompeo, made the foolhardy and dangerous decision to assassinate one of the leaders of Iran, General Qasem Soleimani. Members of both parties are furious; Trump never informed congress of his rash and ill-advised decision.
House minority leader, Kevin McCarthy is another Trump toady. He made a failed attempt to defend his leader’s moronic decision. What tactic did he use? Standard operating procedure for Republican politicians; lies and misdirection.
McCarthy made what I hope was a facetious attempt to blame Adam Schiff for Trump’s mistake while speaking on the right-wing propaganda machine, Fox Noise.
“You know what? He’s the chairman of the Intel committee,” McCarthy said of Schiff. “Maybe had he spent the last year working on trying to protect us from what was happening in Iran – from the bombing of the tankers, Saudi Arabia taking down our drone – instead of taking that committee and making it about impeachment he would have never made that comment.”
It appears that he is admitting that Trump does not know what’s happening in our world; that he chooses to be uninformed.
We know that Trump refuses to, or us incapable of reading the “President’s Daily Brief;” the document which keeps our presidents informed of world events which occurred or will occur while he was asleep and during the following day.
Sadly, Trump refuses to use the information at his disposal from the CIA, the NSA, the DIA, the FBI and every other sub-agency dedicated to national security. He is too busy golfing, partying at Mar-a-Lago, holding hate rallies, and watching Fox Noise.
If the right-wing was honest, they would admit that Pompeo, whose hatred for Iran has been clear throughout his failed career, lied to Trump and Trump refused to consult experts on Iran; making another rash and ignorant decision.
Why would McCarthy believe that Mr. Schiff would know more about the happenings in the Middle East than this illegitimate president? Are Republicans really that stupid?
The answer: definitely.
