“I have a very good brain.” “I know more about ISIS than the generals.” “I am a very stable genius.”
You’ve all heard these a thousand times before from your illegitimate president. If a stand-up comic was saying these same things facetiously, you would be laughing. When Trump says them it’s simply sad.
Trump has proven that he knows nothing about business, ‘making deals’ without bullying his opponents, military operations, foreign relations, economics, diplomacy, or science. The only thing he knows is that he loves to grab women’s crotches. Many of us doubt that he attended any of his classes at Wharton. No graduate from an Ivy League University would have such a limited used of the English language, and they would be able to read for hours when necessary.
Recently Trump sat in on a meeting between his appointed “coronavirus czar,” Mike Pence, and the heads of pharmaceutical companies to plan treatments for Americans infected by the virus.
Body language tells it all. Trump sat with his arms folded across his chest which told us two things; he was bored, and he had no idea what they were talking about. If it wasn’t him, he was not interested.
After a short while it became obvious that Trump was upset that the meeting was not all about him. He had to say something, even if he sounded like a child in elementary school.
“So, this would be a combination of a vaccine and also it will—put it in a different way—make you better, quicker?”
This is the President of the United States of America? I know I was spoiled for eight years when the man sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office was extremely intelligent, and an eloquent speaker who inspired our nation’s people and gave us hope, but we deserve better than this; whatever this is.
I can only hope that someone in the Trump administration has the knowledge and ability to take this medical crisis seriously. That would not be Trump or Pence.
