I’m over Seventy; am I Supposed to Die so Corporations can continue to Make Outrageous Profits?

Republicans care more about profits for the wealthy than the lives of the American people. The major roadblock in passing the stimulus package has been efforts by Republican politicians to include a huge bailout package for big business. Trump has been bailing out corporations for over three years with his “tax reform,” and removing regulations allowing them to pollute our air, water, and land to increase profits. They do not deserve our tax dollars, and that includes America’s commercial airlines.

Republicans are willing to accept a huge loss of life to save corporate profits. Here’s what the Lieutenant Governor of Texas, Dan Patrick, had to say on Fox Noise.

“Those of us who are 70 plus, we’ll take care of ourselves. But don’t sacrifice the country,” Patrick said on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

I don’t know about you, but I took this to mean, “let old people die to save the economy.” I am 73 years old, and why would I care about corporations. They have been allowed to practice unbridled capitalistic policies for decades and are the reason America is becoming a third world nation. Income inequality is a major issue for the vast majority of our nation’s people.

We, the people, can no longer allow today’s Republican Party in name to exclusively serve ten-percent of our nation’s people and ignore the needs of the majority.

On November third we can save our country and remove control over would-be fascists who choose to rule over us and not serve. VOTE!
