Republican’s Coronavirus Proposals Would Attack their Base Suggesting Abandonment in Favor of Corporate Profits

Just a short time ago this was Trump’s promise to the American people.

“The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC & World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”

Today the number of deaths in the United States topped 1,000. The previous tweet from Trump was just one month ago. This is the result of an ignorant group of voters who elected a man even more ignorant than they are.

I have always believed that any man or woman who becomes America’s president should be smarter than me. Sadly, I have no doubt that I am far more intelligent than the buffoon defiling our White House today.

The truth is, Trump is not alone. Suggestions offered by Republican politicians would harm and possibly kill their largest voting bloc.

Partly because of the television fake news, and partly because of gender bias, older Americans heavily favored Trump in 2016. I am not one of them.

However, the truth is that Republican politicians are “biting the hand which feeds them.” For example, the Lieutenant Governor of Texas, Dan Patrick, suggested that we ignore the lives of all Americans over 70 and focus on the economy: more concerns about “profit before people.”

The truth is that prior to this pandemic, Trump had no concern about the economy of the working class. His gifts to the wealthy and corporations added trillions to the deficit. His personal spending: choosing to live the life of a billionaire at taxpayer expense: costs taxpayers more than 16 million dollars each month.

If you choose to believe Trump’s lies, your fate is sealed.
