I always like to offend my Republican friends and begin with some facts; they hate the truth. Beginning with Ronald Reagan in 1981, Republican presidents implemented economic policies which harmed the working class and our nation’s future. Bush 41, Bush 43, and Trump all believed in a form of “trickle-down” economics. Reagan originally called it “supply side economics.”
Before Covid-19 infected millions of Americans, respected economists warned of another recession because of Trump’s many failures. Although he brags about creating jobs and the stock market constantly, none of it is based on fact. The truth is that any jobs “created” during Trump’s illegitimate presidency are low-paying jobs. The facts reveal job losses of thousands in the field of green energy, four million in the tourist industry after Trump’s Muslim travel ban, and more than 300,000 related to Trump’s trade war with China. In addition, his policies are adding more than one-trillion dollars each and will until at least 2025. As for the stock market, the Dow is only a measure of how well the one percent are doing, not the economy of the working class.
Bill Clinton became our nation’s 42nd president in 1993. He saved a failing economy, which included rising unemployment and a growing national debt. When he left office in 2001 our nation experienced a surplus for the first time in decades.
Enter Bush 43. His three strikes included another effort to make trickle-down economics successful; removing regulations from the banking industry; and waging two unwinnable wars, one of which continues today.
Barrack Obama took office in 2009. He faced a near depression caused by his Republican predecessor. His choices for his cabinet and closest advisers were from the most qualified in the nation. By the end of his second term our nation’s economy was in full recovery, the unemployment rate in decline, and the stock market reaching record highs.
Today we have Donald John Trump. His policies have failed each and every time. Basically, he continued the same practices which resulted in losses of millions, if not billions of dollars in the business world. Although Trump refuses to reveal his tax returns and other related documents, those of us who have followed DJT for years know that he is not a billionaire, and money to bail him out of his failures came from foreign nations: specifically Saudi Arabia and Russia.
I won’t apologize to my Republican friends. They know the truth about Trump but continue to support him. They are all hypocrites and cowards.
Time to end the charade. Although Trump’s latest television ads claim that Joe Biden’s policies would harm the economy, it was he and President Obama which saved our nation after the debacle which was George W. Bush. Republicans are incapable of caring for 330 million people. Trump is incapable of any financial enterprise, and yet his party continues to bow to the most hated man in the world.
Please vote and vote for yourself and those you love. Republicans have failed real Americans for far too long.
